Terms & conditions

1. The promoter
These prize competitions are operated by Carp Fishing Draws ("we", "us", "our"). Promoter: Lauren Stanford, 5 Moors Ley, Walkern, Hertfordshire, SG2 7NG, United Kingdom. Email: [contact email].
2. Nature of the competition
Each draw on this site is a prize competition in which success depends on the exercise of skill or judgement (a skill question must be answered correctly to enter), with a tie-broken random allocation of prizes by drawn number. It is not a lottery within the meaning of the Gambling Act 2005 and no licence is required.
3. Eligibility
- Entrants must be aged 18 or over.
- Entrants must be resident in the United Kingdom.
- Employees of the promoter and their immediate families may not enter.
- Only one claim per number per draw.
4. How to enter
There are two routes to enter, both with equal chance of winning:
- Online (paid): Choose a draw, select a number, answer the skill question correctly and complete payment.
- Free postal entry (no purchase necessary): Follow the instructions on our Free entry page. Postal entries are processed in order of arrival and treated identically to paid entries.
5. Skill question
Every entry must include a correct answer to the published skill question. Incorrect answers will be disqualified and any payment will be refunded, less unrecoverable processing fees.
6. Prizes
- The prize for each draw is as described on the relevant draw page.
- Prizes are non-transferable and there is no cash alternative.
- We reserve the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if the advertised prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond our control.
7. The draw
- The winning number for each draw is determined by the bonus ball of a named public lottery draw — the specific lottery draw, date and time is published on that competition's page before entries close, so the source is independently verifiable.
- If a draw closes with unsold numbers, we reserve the right to either (a) extend the closing date, (b) re-draw, or (c) refund all entries — at our discretion.
- The promoter's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
8. Winner notification & delivery
- Winners will be contacted within 7 days of the draw using the contact details provided at entry.
- Prizes will be dispatched within 14 days of confirming the winner's delivery address, at our cost, to a UK address.
- If a winner cannot be contacted or does not claim within 30 days, we reserve the right to redraw.
9. Refunds & cancellation
Paid entries to a prize competition are excluded from the 14-day distance-selling cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (regulation 28). Paid entries are non-refundable once a draw has closed except where required by law or where a draw is cancelled by us. Where a draw is cancelled, paid entrants will be refunded in full to the original payment method.
10. Data protection
We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. See our privacy policy for the full details of what we collect, why, who we share it with and how long we keep it.
11. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we exclude liability for any loss or damage arising from participation in a draw or use of any prize, except for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
12. Changes & governing law
We may amend these terms at any time. The current version posted on this page applies to all open draws. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
